The Portuguese Association of Economic and Social History announces the 45thAPHES Annual Conference, which will take place on November 6 and 7, 2026, at the University of Minho. This year’s edition will be dedicated to the theme “War Economies / Societies at War” and aims to analyze and reflect on the multiple relationships between conflict, the economy, and social organization in different historical contexts. The event will feature Jeremy Black (University of Exeter) as Keynote Speaker, who will present the lecture War as a Social and Economic Fundamental, Past, Present and Future.
We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the 2026 Conference of Eogan, the Network of energy archives (www.eogan.org). The conference will take place on 15-16 June 2026, in blended mode, and it will be hosted by PPC Historical Archives in Athens, Greece.

Το συνέδριο που συνδιοργανώνουν το Τμήμα Ιστορίας, Αρχαιολογίας και Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας (ΙΑΚΑ) και το Τμήμα Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών (ΤΑΜ) του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας μαζί με το Δίκτυο για τη Μελέτη των Εμφυλίων Πολέμων, σε συνεργασία με τον Σύλλογο για την Ιστορία και τη Μνήμη της Εθνικής Αντίστασης (ΣΙΜΕΑ) και την Περιφέρεια Θεσσαλία (Π.Ε. Μαγνησίας & Σποράδων) φιλοδοξεί να συζητήσει τα ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά της μεταπολεμικής ανασυγκρότησης και να την συνδέσει με τις ευρύτερες κοινωνικές, πολιτικές, θεσμικές, πολιτισμικές, χωρικές και περιβαλλοντικές αλλαγές που συνέβησαν στις δεκαετίες του 1950 και 1960.
The 53rd annual meeting of the International Committee of the History of Technology (ICOHTEC) will be held at Democritus University of Thrace, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Technologies, Research & Applications in Education/ School of Humanities and the Ethnological Museum of Thrace in Alexandroupolis, Greece.
To commemorate the centenary of the British General Strike and miners lock-out, Newcastle University’s Labour & Society Research Group (LSRG) are organising a conference that revisits the historical experience of 1926 through the lens of new scholarship that is concerned with the global, spatial and maritime turns in labour history.
This three-day conference, called by the European Labour History Network working group “Feminist Labour History” and hosted by the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences, aims to explore new perspectives in the study of the history of labour through the lens of gender and intersectionality. The conference builds on and moves forward the debates on and within feminist labour history which took place during the conferences of the European Labour History Network and the 2019 conference of the FLH Working Group in Bologna.

Call for papers for the 6th Conference of the European Labour History Network (ELHN), Barcelona, University of Barcelona, 16 - 19 June 2026.
The conference will take place at the University of Tübingen, Germany from 16 to 18 March 2026. It seeks contributions that investigate topics with respect to rural shops and shopkeepers.
