This special issue´s scope is to explore the methodological, ontological, and empirical strengths of microhistory to advance management history and organization studies. Therefore, we invite both theoretical, and theoretically informed empirical submissions that will further the contribution of microhistory in business history, management, and organizational history, as well as management and organization theory.

The European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) welcomes submissions for the 2023 Tallinn Dissertation Prize in European Environmental History. The Dissertation Prize aims to support early career environmental history scholars based in Europe or those based outside Europe but whose work contributes to European environmental history.

Submissions are invited for the Joan Thirsk Memorial Prize offered by the British Agricultural History Society in memory of Joan Thirsk (1922–2013).
The Thirsk prize is an annual award for the best book in British and Irish rural or agrarian history employing broadly historical methodology (so works ofsocial anthropology, archaeology or of contemporary rural sociology will not be eligible). There is a single prize of £500 (which may be split) and the committee are allowed to commend other submissions.
The prize was first awarded earlier in 2017 and is now is offered for books published in the calendar year 2022.

We invite contributions for a special issue on “pandemics in world economic history” in the journal “Economics and Human Biology”. If you are interested to participate, please let us know until 30 November; submissions would then be expected until 15 January 2023. Regarding the background, “Economics and Human Biology” is a journal on the relationship between human biology and economic factors with many health economics contributions; about 10% of the contributions are historical studies, mainly on crucial questions related to health, height, and mortality. The impact factor compares very well to the five top economic history journals.
Μεταξύ Πέμπτης 29ης Σεπτεμβρίου και Σαββάτου 1ης Οκτωβρίου 2022, διεξήχθη με επιτυχία στην Αθήνα το 4ο Διεθνές Συνέδριο Οικονομικής και Κοινωνικής Ιστορίας της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Οικονομικής Ιστορίας, με θέμα “Μορφές του Καπιταλισμού στη Μεσόγειο (18ος-20ός αιώνας)” (Varieties of Capitalism in the Mediterranean, 18th-20th century). Το συνέδριο οργανώθηκε σε συνεργασία με το Τμήμα Πολιτικής Επιστήμης και Ιστορίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου και το Ινστιτούτο Ιστορικών Ερευνών του Εθνικού Ιδρύματος Ερευνών.
Το Πολιτιστικό Ίδρυμα Ομίλου Πειραιώς (ΠΙΟΠ), στο πλαίσιο του εκδοτικού του έργου, προκηρύσσει το Πρόγραμμα «Νέοι Ερευνητές-Νέες Εκδόσεις». Στόχος του είναι να συμβάλει στη δημιουργία ευκαιριών για νέους ερευνητές για την παραγωγή συγγραφικού έργου σε επιστημονικά θέματα αιχμής.

The Economic History Society offers 12 part-funded places on an intensive residential course designed to raise the quality and analytical rigour of doctoral dissertations in economic and social history; to improve the communication skills of postgraduates; to widen their approach to their subjects; and to encourage them to form networks with established scholars and fellow students in their areas of expertise.
After having devoted a few issues to SMEs and a few articles on craft industry, Entreprises & Histoire is now preparing a special issue on the craft industry, its companies and entrepreneurs, whose ambition will be to cross and bring together different disciplines (history, economics, management sciences, sociology, anthropology, law...) to shed light on the adaptation capacities of craft companies in the face of economic transformations and dynamism over the long term, but also to study the evolution of the researchers' view of craft industry, as a world of innovation.
