We are seeking a highly motivated person, to join our academic community of economists and historians, and bring new perspectives to the teaching and study of History in a school of Economics and Management. We seek a person with expertise in any aspect of History that is underpinned by social science methodologies and a grasp of economic processes.
Economic History is a flourishing area of study in ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, with a team of five colleagues spread across Economic, Business and Financial History. As part of the History team, the postholder will have the opportunity to develop courses for both undergraduate and graduate students and develop research projects, working with colleagues across the University and beyond.
The contract is for five years in the first instance, then reappointment upon completion of a successful review. The candidate will be required to hold a doctorate and to have a scholarly research activity within the field of Economic History.
