2nd World Congress on Business History, Online-Congress in September 2021

The WCBH, jointly organized by the EBHA and the Business History Society of Japan, was planned to take place in Nagoya, Japan, in September 2020. Following extensive consultation with different stakeholders, the BHSJ and EBHA have decided to postpone the 2nd World Congress of Business History until 2021.

We are glad to announce the new date of the 2nd World Congress of Business History (Nanzan University), on September 9-11 2021 which will now take place online.

As we announced before, ALL papers and panels accepted for the WCBH 2020 remain accepted, and maintain their status for the WCBH 2021. Therefore, we would like to ask all accepted applicants to inform us whether they plan to participate in the congress next year and whether we could move on to include their papers in next year’s conference programme.

The organizers will accept changes in titles, reflecting the progress of research undertaken in the meantime. So please also tell us if you wish to change the title of your proposals by 15 January. Therefore, it would be easiest if, in the email you send confirming that you remain interested in attending the conference, that you also confirm the title and the abstract of your paper. If the paper has changed substantially, we would ask that you also send a new abstract for the paper.

Additionally, the Program Committee decided to re-open the Call for Papers for new proposals. It is available here. New proposals will be considered until January 15 2021.

Please direct your questions and inquiries to the Congress contact email: ProgramCommittee[at]worldbhc.org.

Deadline for proposals: 15.1.2021
