Post-Doc position DATAREV project, Department of Economic and Social History, Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, University of Vienna

The Department of Economic and Social History of the Vienna Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies is looking for a Post-Doctoral researcher to investigate the relationship between the spread of accounting practices and managerial and technological innovations during the 20th century. The position is open to candidates willing to focus on economic or business history or the history of science and technology. Research projects can have different geographical scopes but they must include regions of Europe.
The Post-doctoral researcher will be part of the DATAREV team, led by Federico D’Onofrio. The project DATAREV, “Leading the first data revolution in European agriculture: farm accountancy data and their impact 1870-1945” is funded by ERC Starting Grant 949722 and investigates the diffusion of farm accountancy offices in continental Europe since the 1870s and the use of farm accountancy data by state and non-state actors in the first half of the 20th century.
The starting date will be determined; the position is limited to 1 year and potentially renewable.
