Research Assistant Position (PhD candidate), Humboldt University, Department of History / Chair of Social and Economic History

At the Department of History at Humboldt University/Chair of Social and Economic History, a position as Research Assistant (PhD candidate) (pay scale TV-L E13, 75%) is to be filled on Oct 1st, 2025. The length of employment is planned to be 4 years.
 
Your tasks will include:
 - Research project in social and economic history
 - Teaching courses and seminars in social and economic history (three hours per week per semester).
 - Coordination of the weekly research colloquium
 - Research-related activities and administration.

Job requirements:
 - An excellent academic degree (Master's level) in History, Economic History, Economics or a related discipline
 - A strong research profile in economic and social history
 - Interest in interdisciplinary work
 - Teaching experience is helpful.
 - Excellent written and spoken English skills-
 - Basic proficiency in German or the willingness to learn is desirable.
 - Teamwork skills and initiative
