CfP XVIII DNS 2022 Seminar for Eighteenth-Century Studies "Marine Worlds of the Long Eighteenth Century"
The Australian and New Zealand Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ANZSECS) and the Australian Catholic University invite you to the 18th David Nichol Smith (DNS) Seminar for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
In 2022, the DNS will be held on 7-9 December at the ACU Fitzroy Campus of ACU in Melbourne. It will convene in-person, but will also feature a digital hub hosting a suite of provocations from colleagues around the world. We are delighted to announce that the seminar will include three keynotes: Lynette Russell, ARC Laureate Professor at Monash University; Kevin Dawson, Associate Professor of History at UC Merced; and Miranda Stanyon, ARC DECRA Research Fellow in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne.

CfP: ‘Business History as Business – Exploring Heritage, History, and Money, LIUC - Università Cattaneo (Castellanza, Italy), 31 May 2022
The Conference will be devoted to exploring the interaction (both positive and negative) between a company and its Past. The Conference program will encompass history, management, marketing, organisation, heritage conservation/management, and other related disciplines. Different disciplinary approaches and cross-contamination among various fields of study will be encouraged and not-conventional and provocative perspectives will be appreciated.

Assistant Professor Economic and Social History, University of Utrecht
The section of Economic and Social History aims to appoint an Assistant Professor as of 1 July 2022. The position involves 70% teaching and 30% research. The Assistant Professor will be involved in high-quality teaching and supervision tasks within the regular programmes as offered by the Department of History, on BA, MA and RMA level in a broad range of courses, possibly extending beyond the specific field of Economic and Social History. The Assistant Professor is expected to further develop his/her research agenda within the field of Economic and Social History, aiming for publications in leading journals, with a potential for attracting/securing research funding.

Στις θεματικές των σχετικών ερευνητικών προσπαθειών είχαν προτεραιότητα οι οικονομικές όψεις της κρίσης του Μεσοπολέμου. Εντούτοις, σταδιακά το ενδιαφέρον μετατοπίστηκε και τις άλλες συνέπειες της κρίσης – πολιτικές, κοινωνικές και διπλωματικές – και πιο σύνθετες προσεγγίσεις της κρίσης και των επιπτώσεών της αποκτούσαν μεγαλύτερη αξία.

Γιώργος Ε. Δαρδανός, Απόστολος Δεδουσόπουλος, Θανάσης Καλαφάτης, Βαγγέλης Πισσίας (επιμ.) (2019) Ο Ζαχαρίας Δεμαθάς υπήρξε ένας χαρισματικός, ουσιαστικός και πολύπλευρος άνθρωπος, καινοτόμος πανεπιστημιακός δάσκαλος, δημοκρατικός πολίτης, πολύτιμος φίλος και σιωπηλός ανθρωπιστής.
Έφυγε ξαφνικά και πρόωρα σε μια καρποφόρα ακόμα στιγμή της ζωής του, αφήνοντας ανολοκλήρωτους ζωντανούς διαλόγους με μαθητές, συνεργάτες, συνοδοιπόρους και φίλους αγαπητούς.
